LOVE U GUYS 4EVER!
here it goes:

"Holidays are a time to enjoy", I head my friend sigh as we worked hard on our Literature Project,"We should be relaxing, not slogging so hard!" Li Ping had been my best friend since the first few weeks of school. We were inseparable, one always found with the other. Today was no different. "Why don't we take a short break?" I suggested. The mid-afternoon heat was making me drowsy," Let's watch some videos on YouTube!"
While scrolling through the many videos that crowded cyberspace, Li Ping asked if she could
watch the video that I made for her birthday. I recalled the week before here birthday....
Annabella, ChinYi and I were having a furtive discussion about the plan for LiPing's birthday. "we could hang a banner up in the Parade Square." Annabella had suggested. "Would that even be allowed?" ChinYi piped up. As we sat thinking in a pensive silence, I thought to myself, no matter what I give her, I really have to mean it. She was a special friend to me and deserved the best, I thought. I jotted down all our ideas into my diary. Suddenly, a fantastic idea hit me and I
started working on it as soon as I got home.
Making the video was a slow and tedious process. i was using a programme to generate characters and animate them. I also compiled a album of photos we all had taken on trips to various places. I would need them for my video. This personal project of mine took about two days to complete as we were still busy with school work and such. When I finally completed it, I sent it to Annabella for her feedback. I also posted it on YouTube and burned it into a CD that I was going to give LiPing the next day.
When I arrived in school the next day, The board was covered with birthday wishes and greetings for LiPing. She certainly was popular among her peers! Lying on her desk were also some presents from classmates. I wished her a awesome birthday and slid into my seat next to hears. She turned to me with an expectant and hopeful look on her face. I forced myself not to let the cat out of the bag and started talking about the literature test we were going to have that day. Immediately, all the birthday sparkle went out of her eyes. "I heard it's going to be tough." She said in a gloomy voice. Phase one of the plan was successfully completed. However, I was not sure how much longer I would keep up.
During recess, her mood had lightened up considerably and she seemed to have forgotten about what I did in the morning. As the rest of the class belted out their loudest most enthusiastic "crescent-style" birthday song yet, Li Ping laughed and clapped along with the rest.
We rushed upstairs for computer lesson clutching out Tablets and pencil cases. Although the lesson was interesting, I could not keep my attention to the board. My mind kept wandering off to my plan. Would my history teacher, Mr Poon allow me some time from his lesson to play the video? As I watched the gloomy expression on my friend's face, I came close to spilling the secret, but that would have ruined my big surprise.
When the bell rang, Ms Jean held us back a couple more minutes to explain the finer details of Adobe Flash. At this point, I was starting to panic, would there be enough time? When the class was dismissed, I leapt off my chair and dashed to the door. I saw LiPing's expression change, "Where are you going?" She asked in a puzzled voice. I tried to sound offhand. "I have to pass.... Someone something." I spluttered and raced back to the classroom leaving behind a very bewildered LiPing. I met Mr.Poon waiting outside the classroom. "Where's the rest of the class?" he questioned. "Oh, they're on their way back fro computer lesson" I said in a preoccupied voice, "Mr.Poon, can you let me pay my friend a video after your lesson? It's her birthday" I added in a
whisper. "We'll see...." he said.
Everything went smoothly during the lesson. Li Ping did not seem to mind that I deserted her at the computer lab, but that was just how a good friend she was. When we had five minutes left, Mr.Poon wrapped up the lesson and turned to me. I nodded and pulled out the CD I had burned for LiPing, placed it into the laptop and returned to me seat.
As the music started playing, I watched the look on LiPing's face change from puzzlement to delight! Soon her eyes started to grow watery and she started sniffing. I passed her a tissue from my bag. Pictures of her in places that we had visited and a small animated character of her walked back and forth on the screen looking for something. The video ended with all the little characters having a party on a picture of the whiteboard!
As the video ended and my birthday wish for her popped up on the screen, I knew that she had enjoyed it immensely, I retrieve the disk back from Mr.Poon, thanked him and passed it back to LiPing. She was still sobbing. That made me feel rather pleased with myself. "This is the best thing ever!" she had exclaimed.
I was jolted back to reality when LiPing said, "Let's continue with our project, then?" I nodded and bent over the vanguard sheet, adding details. While she went to rummage in her bag for materials, my mind wandered once again to her birthday gift. Although she did not know it, she had given me one of the greatest gifts of all. The gift of friendship.
